So strange, I’m not sure why you had liquid pooling at the bottom. Did you change anything with the recipe? I get the roast beef from the deli too! Maybe try less butter next time (did you only use about 3/4ths the butter mixture or all of it?)

I really like the idea and flavor of these. I used some deli roast beef “shaved.” I cooked for the recommended time uncovered, then covered with foil and baked again. Mine really had a liquid in the bottom making the bread very soggy. Should I have used prepackaged meat? Instead of fresh sliced? Overall still would make again, just with hopefully less juice

These were delicious! I used the Hawaiian slider rolls instead bc they were pre sliced and I knew my husband would laugh at the mini sized rolls (he’s a large man!)
Question- do you think these could be reheated?

No they are out of the oven at that point. Ideally the recipe is written so the sauce is being created while sliders are baking (so it doesn’t cool too much by the time sandwiches are ready), but you certainly can make it before baking if that is your preference.

I made 7 pans of these for a brunch the day after my sons wedding. They were such a huge hit. I prepared them without the sauce 3 days before. Tightly covered with Saran Wrap. I made the sauce for the tops and dipping all in advance. Heated everything that morning. So easy and impressive.

These are simple to make and amazing! I make them all the time and they are a family favorite! My family doesn’t like the sweet rolls so we use King’s Hawaiian savory butter instead. They make great leftovers as well and always get finished up the next day. Thank you for sharing!

Very yummy! I appreciate the suggestion to use rare roast beef. It stayed juicy & delicious! Next time I will probably leave out the seasoned salt tho. And definitely use unsalted butter. I like salt, but the Hawaiian rolls were no match for it!

These are very good!!! A few changes that I made:used much less butter, did not include the seasoning salt at all, and made a horseradish cream sauce to put on the side. They are quite rich and filling so this is a meal plus leftovers for my family of 3. Very good and will make again.

I made this for our NYE dinner. I needed something easy to make after the cheese fondue appetizer and before the chocolate fondue for dessert.
My family loved these sliders and it warmed up perfectly the next day.

I made these for Easter. It was just going to be my husband and I and I couldn’t see fixing a ham, for two.
THESE were amazing!!! As I was pouring the sauce over the tops, I just knew the sandwiches were going to be soggy!! 5 minutes in the oven and oh my the smell told me they were going to be delicious and they were!! If you haven’t tried these..you have to. Easy to make and quick for those crazy evenings you need something fast. You won’t be disappointed..I promise!

This recipe is AWESOME. our friends served it at a superbowl party and i’ve been hooked ever since. It is delicious! I make one change, i cover it with foil to cook because our gas oven just runs super super hot and burns the tops which I hate. Overall this is a showstopper!

I have made this twice. The first time was too salty for us but I did not use unsalted butter. This time I used unsalted butter and it was spot on. I love using the French’s fried onions, and I omitted the season salt. My family loves this so I will definitely be making it again. Thanks for the recipe!!

i made these and they turned out amazing! they were a big hit at the party. i served them with horseradish on the side as a dipping sauce and that really added a lot. two questions: i couldn’t find the fried onions at the store. where are they normally located? also, could you do these on a cookie sheet instead of in a baking dish? i want to make them again for my next party, but i don’t have enough baking dishes, so i was thinking i could put the hawaiian rolls on baking sheet pans instead? let me know your thoughts. thanks so much!

I followed this recipe exactly as written and the sliders were a HUGE success at my party. I also made some ham sliders that were good but not great. The next day, I brushed the leftover ham sliders with the butter/au jus mixture and my family said the ham sliders were phenomenal. From now on, I’m using the sauce for ALL sliders (pork, chicken, ham) I make.

These French Dip Sliders are amazing. I made them for a couples’ group party at my home. They were easy and ready quickly. The men were gobbling them up as they came out from the oven. The Easy French Dip Sliders were a hit! I made them as one of many appetizers for our Christmas Eve Party — I think they were the favorite. I made them again New Years Day by Request! Chelsea, I have made theses 3 times for guests and everyone always wants the recipe. My son made them for his Super Bowl party. I did make these earlier in the day except for the au jus mixture. Covered them and took out about 30 minutes before I baked them. Made the sauce earlier and just warmed it up to pour over. It worked.and saved me time right before the guest came. To offset the sweet rolls & because I love horseradish with beef; I mixed 1 tablespoon of prepared horseradish with 1/3 cup mayo & spread it on both cut sides of the rolls before assembling everything else. Otherwise followed your recipe, less the salt & it was fabulous. Thanks

Good concept and flavor. Too much butter. The bottom buns were pretty soggy. I would recommend using 1/4 stick butter and using a brush to apply the butter to the top of the buns. When pouring it, I felt like most of the butter mixture went to the bottom of my pyrex.

These are the greatest! I was confused on what “rare” roast beef was until I got to the deli counter. I bought the London Broil and it worked wonderfully. I have made these 4 times since finding your recipe. My family loves them. If you don’t cook the Au Jus and just use really hot water with about a tbsp of the Au Jus mix, you’ll have Arbys Au Jus to a T. Thanks again!

We made these last night and they were AMAZING! Only substitute was using Havarti cheese because that’s a hat we had on hand. I’m sure it had no impart on final product though! This was soooo yummy! My 17 yr old had 3 friends over so I had to feed them plus our family of 5. I doubled the recipe and had no problems fitting 24 Hawaiin rolls into a glass 9×13 pan. I only had salted butter so next time, I’ll use unsalted. I used Durkee onions because my kids LOVE them. These were excellent! The teens kept ranting about how great they were.

I try a lot of recipes and many aren’t as good as they look in photos. This is one I will definitely do again! A big hit at our house. Thank you Chelsea!

These looked sooo yummy, so I decided to make them for dinner tonight for my family and I. ALL OF THEM – My husband, my 10 yr old and by 7 yr old could not stop raving over how delicious these were! My husband even forbid my kids to eat the leftovers because he wanted to have them for lunch tomorrow. The recipe was simple and easy to make, and the ingredients were inexpensive. I love King’s Hawaiian rolls but they wouldn’t be my roll of choice if I made this recipe again. I didn’t care for the sweet taste they added here. The sweetness was a bit overpowering. I might make this recipe again but I would try a different roll – something non-sweet like a ciabatta or french roll. It was an easy meal and I thought the sauce was a great addition.

I just made these for our annual neighborhood Holiday Party and they were a HUGE hit. The platter was literally empty within 10 minutes after putting it on the table.
But I did make a couple of minor tweaks: I only cooked them for 10 minutes (to keep the meat on the “pinker” side) and I cut each slider in half (more to go around).
Now, I am making them for my annual Holiday Potluck at work and I know they’ll get the same “lip smackin” reception.
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe…it’ll definitely be a go-to “quick and easy” weeknight dinner option or appetizer for ANY party.

Your directions confuse me. When you make the juice for dipping you use the left over muxture plus cold water. You don’t use what’s left in the packet?

I looked it up, and if you crush up beef bouillon cubes to get 2 tablespoons and a teaspoon, 2 tablespoons crushed onion bullion cube, 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Put em in the food processor or crush em up to a fine powder. Makes 1/3 cup

These were so easy and absolutely delicious! Couldnt find rare roast beef, so used medium and it didn’t overcook. I left out the sesame seeds and the added season salt, but did use the fried onions. So flavorful! Can’t wait to seeve these the next time we have guests!

I found your recipe on Pinterest and made these for dinner tonight. They got rave reviews from my husband and son! Followed recipe exactly except for au jus sauce. Mixed packet with 1 c. water, 1/2 c. french onion soup, & 1/2 c. beef consomme. Before dinner was even over, I asked to make them again. They’ll definitely be going in the dinner rotation. Thanks so much for such a WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS recipe!!

THESE WERE FABULOUS! MY hear and my family are so happy to have found this recipe:)

Indidnt have the onion tanglers so i used finley chopped raw onions and it turned out amazing 🙂

I made these last night and I am eating the leftovers right now. They are AMAZING and EASY to make. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are adding the onions to forgo the added seasoned salt. I love salt, but it became a bit too much for my Husband. (More leftovers for me!!!) I can’t wait to make these the next time I go to a potluck.?

Oh my gosh, these look beyond amazing. My husband would die of rapture because of the Hawaiian sweet rolls! I would never have thought to just use the whole package at once and pour that yummy topping all over it! I totally need to try these!

These were amazing! I love French Dips and I also love the ham sandwich version of these floating around, so when I saw this recipe I just knew I had to try them. These guys were such a hit with my family and they were even good the next day! I made a few extra since I had all the ingredients and my 9×13 would accommodate them and I am so glad I did! I forgot to put the melted butter in the bottom of the pan but I didn’t end up missing them. The fried onions were the perfect addition! If you’re on the fence about making these – go for it! Definitely a winner!
