Chocolate Dip for Fruit

Chocolate Dip for Fruit is luscious, light, and creamy. It's made with real whipped cream, cream cheese, and Nutella!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) full-fat cream cheese, softened (Note 1)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup Nutella hazelnut-chocolate spread
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/16 teaspoon fine sea salt (just a tiny pinch of salt)
  • Fruit, graham crackers, marshmallows, etc. for dipping.
  • Toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  • CREAM CHEESE: In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides as needed. Once smooth, add in the Nutella and beat until combined.
  • WHIPPED CREAM: In a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment (or a separate bowl with a hand mixer), whip the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt until it forms stiff peaks.
  • FOLD: Gently fold the whipped cream into the Nutella mixture using a spatula. Fold until all ingredients are completely incorporated.
  • SERVE: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and arrange fruit (or dippers of choice) around the dip. Skewer small berries on toothpicks. Serve toothpicks alongside the dip. Enjoy!
  • STORAGE: This dip will last up to four days, covered tightly in the fridge. If it starts to separate, just give it a quick stir to incorporate all the ingredients again.

Notes

Note 1: Softening cream cheese: To soften cream cheese, remove the cardboard box and the inner foil wrapper. Place in a microwave-safe bowl or on a plate and microwave for 15 seconds. Flip the block of cream cheese over and microwave for another 10-15 seconds or until softened. (Time will vary depending on your microwave; just remember you want it softened not melted.)
